The course that Rumsfeld, Cheney, Rice, and Bush built, with lots of avian help.

Obama wouldn’t know his foreign policy if it ran him over, which it has…

I don’t know what Obama was thinking when he had Bush sign the withdrawal agreement.

All the conservatives babble endlessly about how it is all the presidents fault but you will notice their criticism totally lacks any indication of how they would resolve the middle east crisis. (Except for war hawk McCain would send the military in again.)

At least for once McCoy is being relatively neutral towards president Obama. He seems to realize that every president for quite some time now has been caught in that particular sand trap. At least that is how thinking Americans (and others in the civilized world) see that paticular area of misery!!

There’s a version of golf where one member of the team makes the drive. Then another member of the team makes the next shot (from whereever the ball lands). Then the next member of the team takes the next shot. Etc. I’m not sure what happens when one member of the team hits the ball into a sand trap. Does each member get a whack, or does one schlimazel have to keep whacking at the ball buried in the sand until he gets it out?

In the US, one person (if he lives so long) gets four or eight years to whack at the ball, and if he leaves it in the sand trap, his successor has four, or in Obama’s case eight, years to try to get the ball out.

Last Sunday, Friedman was the only New York Times Sunday columnist who said it’s time to take the penalty, pick up our ball, and leave the game.

    (All the other
Sunday columnists who wrote about Iraq said we have to double down and win, we’ve spent too much good money and good lives, and if we stop now, we’re just throwing all that money and all those lives away. Oh, and we can’t stop with just fixing Iraq, we need to fix the whole MENA, no matter how much money or lives it costs.)

Your comment makes the most sense I have read on this forum in a long time. Too bad there is such a strong push from those who believe you only win by force. That is what keeps terrorists going and the weapons industry in business.

The Iraqi people turned out in large numbers to vote in defiance of a coordinated campaign of bombings and slaughters. They have done more to prove their desire for democratic government than most of us will do over our lifetimes.

“Willing to leave”? No. “Willing to send in troops to die, and drop bombs indiscriminately on innocent heads”? Also no.

If Obama couldn’t handle it, then he should not be POTUS. When you replace someone at a workplace you inherit whatever they did, good or bad. That’s just life 101. Now while you are correct that he DIDN’T get us in there, but since he accepted the job (wish he didn’t) he accepts everything that goes with it, not just the adoring worshiping fans.

Why don’t you tell Harry Reid to let the senate vote on some of those bills passed by the house that might make things better. The Democrats can’t have any of those bills reach the floor of the senate because some dems might vote for them and they can’t have that. Then they couldn’t blame the republicans for not doing anything.
And, to our President , Sir, look around .
. The middle east, via its conservative “governments” wishes to die ….
    Let them….
Do you mean let the Islamic jihad scum kill every man woman and child in Isreal?Let them form their Islamic Sharia law Caliphate? Then what ?Let them use the nukes they get from Pakistan and Iran on the USA.
They keep saying that is their goal?
What would you do to stop them?
The same thing you been doing? Denigrating any one who wants to do something?
Keep your head in the sand.
Complane that those who actually pay taxes are stupid and should pay more to buy votes for the dems and support the lazy, useless, stoner’s that fill the HUD projects around the country.Got your free Obama phone?
    Smoke some more weed.
