Funny how it was ok when Occupy Wall Street illegally took over public property.

The only thing rightwingers hate more than freeloaders is paying their own fair share.

I don’t believe it was paying for land grazing that was the issue. It was paying the federal government which confiscated most of Nevada land, and not the state government which should still own that open land.

The man is a criminal who takes from America without paying for his grazing rights. “Obama” has nothing to do with it, he did this under several administrations, and it’s always been theft. The fact that conservatives are trying to turn this criminal into a hero says it all. And Clay, the US did not confiscate the land from Nevada, and it CERTAINLY didn’t confiscate it from this squatter.

When the BLM tells ranchers that they can no longer graze enough cattle for ranching to be viable and drives all but one ornery rancher out of business, I’m going to side with the ornery guy. Through in Harry Reid’s clan’s machinations and then it gets real interesting.

Clearly this is a case of a rancher ripping of the taxpayer. There is no legal dispute over who owns the land. The federal government originally bought the land and gave large portions of it to Nevada who promptly sold it to private owners. The land in question is and has been government owned. The federal courts have upheld this point. Clive Bundy paid grazing rights until he decided he could make more money by not paying them. So far he has cost the taxpayer over a million dollars. It is not about individual rights, it is about money.

It’s not whether this guy was doing it illegally or not. It’s how the federal government responded. They sent something like 100 armed personnel to this guy’s ranch to control cows. Think about it plainly, folks. This isn’t a guy who is forming a militia, or plotting the downfall of America. He’s feeding his cows. The appropriate thing to do would to cordon off the area so his herd can’t access the grazing area. It’s not like cows are rocket surgeons; they aren’t going to hop a fence. And if he cuts or disrupts the fence, you take him to court. Big hairy deal. No need for 100 armed agents to descend on this guy’s ranch. If only they used this kind of force protecting our borders. Yeesh.

And I would agree with Doc above. It’s okay for OWS to consume and abuse public lands for their freeloading purposes, but a guy trying to make a living using a renewable source (GRASS) is met with armed agents. Only in crazytown does that seem equitable.

What’s wrong with being armed? Our constitution allows it’s citizens to carry guns at our discretion. Or do we have to check with you before picking up a firearm?

But God gave people dominion over the earth…and ..oh, wait, I forgot. The government isn’t people, only corporations.

You know you’re clutching at straws, when even Glen Beck isn’t backing up your nonsense.
