There are no Obamacare jobs losses. There weren’t under Romneycare either, so it was never a serious worry. Last year had higher taxes on the rich and Obamacare looming, and the best jobs numbers since 2004.

Americans pay 80% more as a percentage of GDP than the rest of the G8 for health care. That may be connected to the fact that the one percent and the Forbes 400 pay tax at the rate of around 17% and their share of the pie is growing rapidly at the expense of the middle class and all those making minimum wage.

Having Healthcare Insurance creates unemployment? So not having Healthcare creates jobs? Why has there EVER an unemployment problem then, with millions upon millions both under and unemployed?
Fox Noise, will you please roll out your next cycle of double-speak and “clear up” this latest RepubliCon conundrum? Or at least thoroughly change the subject?
Look, look, up in the blue sky!!! Barry is responsible for the Ukraine!!!

The Congressional Budget Office report that this is based on made clear that the ACA will allow people to retire or otherwise stop working without fear of losing health care. It will cause no increase in unemployment. This is a good thing. Conservatives are distorting the facts, again.

While it is ancedotal, one of the general contractors I work with has been having some serious health problems (needs a heart valve replacement and some other related stuff). He dissolved his company and changed his license to self only.
He now works cash under the table for the most part with a few long time customers.
Why? Because he couldn’t afford an Obamacare policy while being a business owner and making what he was. It was actually to his economic benefit to become under-employed, go on Medicade and ACCESS where the coverage is all government paid for and make most of his money tax free on the side.
This sort of thing is very common in Europe where the kind of government Obama wants is omnipresent. People go around the government and game the system to their advantage rather than pay their own way because the system is set up for failure.

And if we can’t get the Fair Tax, we’re going to have to get those guys some better accountants. Even Buffet pays a lower rate than his secretary.

The rest of the G8 cover everyone for around ten and a half percent of GDP while America spends eighteen percent and leaves millions uncovered. There is something wrong with that. That extra $800B goes to the one percent who own the system and would be enough to cover the deficit, a big chunk of which is health care related.

Bush era tax cuts for the wealthy have helped move the American Gini coefficient up there with Uruguay’s and it is heading for banana republic status. Soon a substantial portion of the American population may be ready for dumpster diving.
