For the last time…there is a difference between weather and climate! Look it up and turn off Fox News.

Love it when the global warming cultists that blames every hurricane, drought, heat wave or sad polar bear picture on global warming, smugly informs us that a 17-year lack of global warming is due to global warming.

That “17 year cooling trend” is as extinct as the mammoth. That the rise has slowed a little, is NOT a ‘cooling" trend. It also depends where you live in that thing called “the globe”, as in “global climate change” what’s going on at the short term, regional, level.

James Powell tracks scientific papers (you can look him up), and last year there were 2258 peer-reviewed journal articles that mentioned climate change. Only one denied human-caused global warming. The argument is over among those who do the science. There is simply no convincing evidence on the denialist side, and the “17-year cooling trend” is complete conservative fiction like the IRS “scandal” and the Kenyan birth certificate. Look at the data. Dumb cartoon.

Global cooling in England, it is important to keep any climate change in context that the little ice age ended, depending who you listen to from the 1890s threw the 19 “tens”.

Leave it to you to bring socialists into a conversation about climate change.

jack says, “Global cooling in England, it is important to keep any climate change in context that the little ice age ended, depending who you listen to from the 1890s threw the 19 “tens”.” I say, “What?”

Okay, contest time. Which is the silliest comment? And the easiest to refute? Could it be, “But everyone in the 1970s said it was getting colder”? Could it be, “But there hasn’t been any warming in 17 years”? Do we have a winner?

If you check the HacCRUT (Hadley Centre of the Climatic Research Unit of the University of East Anglia) figures, you will see that 2005 and 2010 were probably hotter than 1998. So the whole argument collapses.

“Scientific” models didn’t work? No problem. They’ll just change the model to make it fit the outcome.
    .
And what I REALLY love is church’s contention that scientists modify their models to fit the data, and he thinks that’s a negative! Talk about having NO CLUE how science works…

Ignorance is amusing but it is not funny.
This strip has it all, extreme ignorance and solid facts.
    .
The combination allows no reasonable discourse, the ignorant shout down the facts.
