While some claimed that the ACA caused many people to lose their insurance plans, even though Obama said, ‘If you like your plan you can keep it,’ the truth is that no plans got cancelled. Just read the New York Times, which had an article that there have been no “true” cancellations because of the ACA, in fact, the ACA makes “true” cancellations illegal.

So McCoy would seem to have an accurate cartoon today.

(And there’s also Syria. When Johnson said that North Vietnam attacked the US Navy in international waters, the Times said we had to back Johnson, this was another Pearl Harbor. After Johnson was dead and Nixon was being threatened with impeachment, they said, ‘Sorry, Johnson lied and we said we’d checked, but we hadn’t.‘

When Bush, jr said Saddam had a massive nuclear arsenal days from completion, an arsenal that would threaten the US with total annihilation, the Times said we mustn’t blame Bush, jr for Johnson’s lies, we must support him.

After the 2006 election, with the Congress solidly Democratic, the Times said, ‘Sorry, Bush, jr lied and we said we’d checked, but we hadn’t.‘

And when Obama said we have to destroy Syria to keep the Middle East safe, the Times said, we mustn’t blame Obama for Bush, jr’s lies, we must support him.)

This guy just lies and lies and lies, and I’m not talking about Obama. I read the Times’s coverage of this subject and it was straightforward and honest. I can understand why ignorant or simple people might think that Obama had lied here, but I can’t believe that McCoy isn’t familiar with the facts.

Because Josh, Obama lied. That the precise language buried in a 2700 + page bill said in convoluted terms one thing is meaningless. Obama clearly and repeatedly stated unequovicably that “If you like your heath insurance plan you can keep it.” “If you like your doctor you can keep him.”
    .
There were no asterisks attached to those statements with fine print. But, if you think that is the case then I pity you for siding with a weasel talking, mealy mouthed, lying failure of a slacker ex-lawyer come President.

Josh, do yourself a favor and get educated about this whole debacle. Stop being ignorant.

The saddest part was Barry’s fake “apology”.
    “Uhhh….I’m sorry if some people…uhh…misunderstood what I meant…..uhh”.

How about “Summer of recovery.shovel ready jobs, the stimulus is working,if you like your plan you can keep your plan,I didn’t know about fast and furious,I didn’t know about the IRS or the NSA”.Do you really think Obama finds out about all this stuff from watching his favorite news nerds on NBC?

McCoy reads the NYTimes? Given his usual spew, I should say highly unlikely. Care to prove me wrong, McCoy?

yes, lord knows the NY Times did such a good job pruning Bush’s lies to go to war with Iraq. But you don’t want to talk about that, do you, Mccoy? Let’s vilify Obama for trying to bring more health care to more people. Much more important.

When confronted by something obviously wrong and deceitful that’s happening now to say x,y or z did this in the past is incredibly lazy and means you are trying to change the subject. This subject ain’t changing liberals. Also means you can’t refute the facts. The man lied hundreds of times and it’s on tape.
