Yes Glenn Obamacare is trampling our rights. Let’s take it to the Supreme Court and correct this crime. ~~

If it was called Romney care it would be OK. But as long as bigots (taught to hate btwn 5 and 8 according to what is known) and FOX, Koch Brothers outlet, are around it won’t be.

Oh the irony, the parts the republicans hate the most are the parts they insisted upon adding to the ACA.

Chris Hayes had an interesting segment last night.
Hannity had 3 couples on complaining about Obamacare.
A reporter followed up and each couple was complaining about something false.
One couple owned their own business and were limiting their employees to 29 hours a week. But you have to have 50 employees to be required to buy health insurance for them, they only had 4 employees.
Another couple said the[r child had a pre-existing condition and insurance cost them $19,000 a year. They didn’t even try to get insurance through the ACA, but the reporter looked and it would cost them about $7,900 a year.

Watch Fox News, Hannity might have a rebuttal, this has happen before. Also during Obama’s speech yesterday they could only get three people who actually was able to sign up.

Actually no it wouldn’t. The government, whether it’s one ruled by the left or right, has no right to be involved with my healthcare. I have no qualms and support making sure that people who need help getting good health care insurance get it. I consider that a good use of my tax dollars. This bill overreaches that and, in my opinion, sets up the government to claim power over my personal life. To your point, the bill has republican roots supposedly. The democrats have, as the cartoon indicates, steam rolled us with it. Both parties are to blame. And instead of uniting to face them, everyone bickers like school children over who said what about who and so and so. Both sides are at fault.

Aw, the law (not a bill, it’s a law) “sets up the government to claim power over my personal life.” The government once required me to fight in a war. It still requires that I pay taxes, license my dog, send my kid to school — it’s called a government, and everybody has one.

    @Kris Jackson

If you want the government involved with your next check up, knock yourself out. They don’t need to be involved in mine.

You’re right, the government doesn’t need to be involved in your checkup — if you have health insurance, nothing changes except there are higher standards the insurance has to meet. Other than that, Obamacare doesn’t affect you.

My last checkup was extremely thorough, and the labs were very complete, the “government” was involved, and it didn’t cost me anything but getting blown up a few times, shot down, and shot at, mortared, and rocketed, it’s called VA.

I’ve had group insurance, for years, and for the last five, mostly to cover my spousal unit, as I could depend on the VA and Medicare, at far less cost.

Prohibition was Constitutional too. It was stupid but Constitutional. Obamacare is stupid but Constitutional.
I take it tranquil-d you are in favor of stupid?

The Constitution was amended to make prohibition legal.

Yes, we were steamrolled by majority rule — the people we elected to do this did it, the president we elected to sign it signed it, the Supreme Court upheld it and then, when a candidate for the presidency offered to get rid of it, the people handed him a stunning defeat.
Democracy and the rule of law have ruined everything, but Glenn and his buddies are hoping to fix that.

The American medical care industry is the most predatory in the developed world. Americans pay 80 percent more than the rest of the G8 and have lower life expectancy and infant mortality than any other country in the OECD. That 80 percent in pushing a trillion dollars, enough to cover the deficit. I would bet that most of that money goes to the one percenters who own and run the health care industry and keep the Republican’s rice bowl full.
