We can thank the wacky republicans for the sequester.

I love Fox “news” viewers ability to simplify any issue into blaming Obama. Nice research, again.

Sure would be accurate … except that the Muslim Brotherhood was just removed from power and the US is trying to figure out how to fulfill the law by cutting aid to a country that has had a coup, despite the clear fact that the military is, in fact, attempting to restore democracy. In other words, Glenn needs a periscope that would start in his lower intestine and maybe pop out his mouth.

So Obama couldn’t say “no?” So he doesn’t have the authority to say, “try again?” I’m quite certain that he said that if there isn’t a failsafe (sequester) option, he wouldn’t sign it. So tell me again how this is Republicans’ fault? And tell me why he rejected the plan that the Republicans supported where he could pick and choose more specifically the impact of the sequester so as to not disrupt people’s lives?

What no-one seems to notice is that instead of furloughing a few people each day nationwide, they are furloughing everyone on one day. Any idea why? Oh, well, that’s right! It’s been given to them by the WH to make sure the public “feels the pain” of the sequester as acutely as possible.

This is petty nonsense. The sequester originated out of the WH, and now that it’s here he’s trying to (unsuccessfully) spin that it was all the evil Republicans’ fault. Nice try. Won’t work.

A good answer, and true, but wasted on these guys. They’re stooges for the conservative cause, are religiously opposed to observable facts, and poisoned by their hatred for our president.

Nope, but I know tons of people that lost their jobs or businesses during this recession.
Funny how big government is immune to the pain the rest of us feel.
That’s why most of the DC area had no idea we were even in a recession.
Must be nice. No wonder so many people are dependent on big gov, but what happens when everybody is and there’s nobody to pay taxes to support it?
The Soviet Union comes to mind.

So the solution to the debt problem is to borrow more money?
When it comes to holes, if you want to get out of one you are going to have to stop digging.

Sorry your wrong, the sequester was only about 60 billion dollars, that is nothing, the debt ceiling has nothing to do with Moody’s downgrade the debt is the cause of the downgrade and Social Security may have anything to do with the debt now but sure will when it runs out in a few years.

RV has it right, it is government employment, at all levels that has dropped dramatically, while “private” workforces have increased. Of course, if folks considered how much “private” employment in “defense” and “homeland security”, is actually GOVERNMENT employment, it is “interesting”.
