What sort of fool would vote for it? Republicans voted in favor 3:1 over Democrats. So the republicans say this was a bad idea but voted for it in droves. Ummm…..ok

Actually Obama said it was needed when he was Senator.

Thank you for letting us know Obama is actually a Republican and a Dino (Democrat in Name only)

As another poster put it so well, “Obama was paying ransom money in exchange for lifting the debt ceiling”.

The GOP voted for the Sequester with the anticipation that they would be working with a Republican President in 2013.

So, why was Paul Ryan taking credit for the Republicans, when THEY wrote and passed the law????

So Obama came up with the idea of sequestration, supports the idea of sequestration, and McCoy represents him as CRITICIZING it?

Well, if you can’t criticize his positions, lie about them. I’m sure all the Rednecks will believe you.

By god a cut to military, surely going from 46.8% OF GLOBAL MILITARY SPENDING to 44% OF GLOBAL MILITARY SPENDING will cause america’s enemies to descend upon it like the Mongolian horde.

Fact is that USA is most of the worlds military, cutting spending on it will still leave it ahead of either

    A) Every country in world excluding China.
    B) Next 30 countries.

ECOWAS countries have frequently protested US intervention. may of them are asking the US not to become involved in Mali

South Africa is dirt poor, the USA has always turned a blind eye.

Europe is not in need of help on one side or another.

Eastern Europe is in a state of relative Peace.

Presence in Central and South America is deeply resented, take a look at Nicaragua, Grenada, Costa rican news and you will find that the feeling is not of endearment.

Mexico, Canada are not exactly military hotspots.

Military would not want to be involved in an IndoJapanese – Chinese war. Remainder of Asia is hostile.

Australia despite having struck oil is not a dictatorship, sorry to say this.

In middle east Israel, Saudi Arabia and Turkey will keep Iran in check. While the Saudi’s and Israelis are not allies, the have a common enemy in Iran. a Curdish break off is still feared in turkey so it would likely become involved should iran start to try and spread as a county

Both sides agreed to this. Then one side made significant compromises to come to an agreement, and the American people approved their approach in the elections.

Meanwhile, the other side spent their time, not trying to find ways to fix the economy, but finding clueless commentators to help them keep fatcats fat and the middle class flailing.

Ironically, it’s what the communists used to call “Useful Idiots” but which the right wing simply calls “fair and balanced.”

The only people who will blame the president for this are the same people who blame him for everything. Smart people know that congress—in particular the GOP—are at fault.

Wasn’t it during the Clinton administration that the Chinese got the technology to upgrade their military’s targeting tech? Facilitated by some campaign contributions?

OK. So The Boner got 98% of what he wanted with the sequester to avoid the debt ceiling BS,which was Obama’s fault even though Congress holds the purse strings, so now the sequester is Obama’s fault too. You Cons are so full of BS your eyes are brown. The whole reason the country is in this financial crisis is conservative economics. If we would have stuck to FDR economics we wouldn’t have 12 trillion in debt. It’s entirely Republicans fault.
