How about the “torturer in chief” that preceded him? The Patriot act? Lying to congress to get us into an illegal war?

    McCoy’s excellent toon.
Obama is step by step voiding the original intent of the US Constitution…by every end-run around Congress to “write new laws” by executive orders, by making unconstitutional appointments to try to end-run Senate approval, recently ruled by the court to be “unconstitutional” and if every violation was taken to court we would see more rulings to nullify Obama’s plottings.

Mc Coy again ‘toons the ignorance, to the ignorant. There is no intent by anybody to take away that shotgun, or any of the weapons I own. The target is NOT the Constitution, but the idiocy of Wayne La Pierre, who now doesn’t even speak for his own NRA membership.

Background checks are supported by over 70 % of NRA members, but now, not Wayne. Most gun owners see no problem in limiting access to “military grade” weapons and ammunition capacity for civilian use.

In the “Heller” decision, even old “Justice Right-wing Scalia” stated clearly that the right to keep and bear arms requires that second component the DUTY of the government to “well-reuglate” those weapons, like limiting access to mentally defective people: Like Wayne La PIerre and his followers on the fringe of gun “owners”.

Per “Heller”, not one of the 23 RECOMMENDATIONS the President has made in any way attack the Constitution, as Scalia and his “wing” of the court will confirm based on that same Heller decision.

The original story is that Obama says the rural view of guns is differnt from city dwellers view.
“If you grew up and your dad gave you a hunting rifle when you were 10, and you went out and spent the day with him and uncles, and that became part of your family’s traditions, you can see why you’d be pretty protective of that,” he said.

You do a great job of repeating internet rumors – NONE of which are factual and they are very easy to check but take energy and time. (and an unbiased mind)

Raise the retirement age to 70 along with Medicare to, then scrap Medicaid and Obama care. Phase out farm subsidies over 10 years or so, sell some of the Federally owned land. Two Point Three Billion Acres is to much.

Please add your own I know I did not get everything.

“Obviously, McCoy’s purpose is to provide more heat than light on the issue.”

Well Doc, I would say that is the purpose of many of the political cartoons we follow, regardless of “what side of the aisle” they subscribe to.
