And you know that the canard about “Obama had everybody for the first two years” is bull flop too. . You’re a smart, funny, capable fellow. I like the picture of Obama with the revenge tag. But you know what Obama meant, and you know this is just one last hurrah. . Just another Hail Mary from Romney. You know that the right has been out to “avenge” the 2008 election since November of 2008. You know that Obama is just trying to get out his vote, and he’s trying to scold those who boo at the rally. I don’t suppose my comment will make any difference to those who don’t like Obama — and I begin by saying that I think Obama’s remark was clumsy — but what he was saying was that the proper revenge in a civil society is voting rather than any other form of revenge — even booing is not right, just voting. There’s a Spanish proverb (I think it’s Spanish) — “Living well is the best revenge” — and I think Obama had that in his mind and rather clumsily tried to adapt it to this situation. Not his finest moment, but not what his opponents are making it out to be.
Canard. Obamacare is a canard? I’d say he just didn’t manage the power base he had because democrats can’t agree amongst themselves, much less with anyone else. If he wins, it’s going to be an even uglier partisan climate, guaranteed. Personally I think they’re both wrong for the position: I like Gary Johnson and the record he has governing.
How many died in "W"s revenge for an alleged “contract” on his daddy? We need smarter people, and cooler heads, than anything the Republicans, in the House, Senate, or White House have come up with in the last 30 years or so.
