Health Care as we want it (and need it) to be is dead. Something will be passed, it may even make things better, but it wont be what were promised or need.

Ken – Health care as we NEED it is a single-payer system… that idea takes some serious testicular fortitude.

SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE costs substantially less than FOR PROFIT HEALTH CARE and in every country that has it they have lower INFANT MORTALITY rates and higher LIFE EXPECTANCY rates than USA. They also have no PERSONAL BANKRUPTCY from medical bills, or DEATH from lack of insurance coverage or AGE DISCRIMINATION based on employer paid health care costs.

Ins. Co. & CEO With 2008 Total CEO Compensation
    ■ Aetna, Ronald A. Williams: $24,300,112
    ■ Cigna, H. Edward Hanway: $12,236,740
    ■ Coventry, Dale Wolf: $9,047,469
    ■ Health Net, Jay Gellert: $4,425,355
    ■ Humana, Michael McCallister: $4,764,309
    ■ U. Health Group, Stephen J. Hemsley: $3,241,042
    ■ Wellpoint, Angela Braly: $9,844,212

A forecast by Deloitte Consulting published in August 2008 projected that MEDICAL TOURISM originating in the US could jump by a factor of ten over the next decade. An estimated 750,000 Americans went abroad for health care in 2007, and the report estimated that a million and a half would seek health care outside the US in 2008.

I would actually be willing to sign onto single payer health care if you could keep the Demoncrats from controlling it. But that will never happen, because if the GOP even TRIED to reform health care, all we’d hear from the Demoncrats and the liberal media would be endless lies and hysteria.

The current 2000+ page Demoncrat bill makes it clear that to Demoncrats, aborting babies is health care; sex change operations are health care; Viagra and birth control pills and condoms and vasectomies are health care; “greening” hospitals and providing endless “mental health’ and “therapy” is healthcare; huge malpractice suits against doctors and nurses are healthcare; the list goes on and on, with every nutty left-wing lobbyist groups wet dream and pet project being portrayed as “health care.”

No thanks. Since that is how “health reform” will ALWAYS be packaged in America, thanks to the Godless Demoncrats, I’ll always fight it tooth and nail…

When congress and the rest of govt. gets exactly the same as the general public is going to get I would go along with it. Fat chance of that.
