    Glenn, if you want to talk about “violent supporters” focus on the opponents of SINGLE PAYER who see no problem with 25,000 of the 50 million uninsured dying each and every year for lack of medical coverage. 2,993 died from 9/11 and look at what a big deal we all made of that! 25,000 deaths is equivalent to 8 count ‘em EIGHT inside jobs per year, but without the headlines, outrage and call to arms.

    The person who lost his finger was covered under Medicare, a Government run program. Republicans are now a minority and according to research are southern and suffer from low IQ. Any party that has this “going for it”, much like the Dodo bird will eventually cease to exist.

    What I heard about this was that the guy was protesting against healthcare reform and wound up punching a protesting supporter of reform. The supporter of reform then got angry (reasonably so, I might add) and bit the guy’s finger off. But luckily the now digitally-handicapped opponent of socialized medicine received quick and inexpensive treatment for his malady since he was a Medicare recipient.

    GNWachs, that Pelosi and Nazis stuff is garbage. I listened to what she said in context (as opposed to the tiny tidbit that Rush Limbaugh played). She never called the protesters Nazis. She observed that they were carrying around Nazi symbols attempting to label their interlocutors Nazis. She was observing (correctly) that they were lowering the level of debate. And she was right that their conduct was un-American (or at least against the ideals of American civil discourse).

    Lets put the lie that she called people Nazis to rest, please.

    tpenna is correct. I too found her remarks online, from multiple sources.. She did NOT call anyone a Nazi, that’s a big fat lie. She observed she saw swastikas being carried on signs. She said it was “un-American” to prevent others from speaking.

    this is yet one more example of the skill with which the right take a fact, turn it on its head and present the lie as the truth. Out of control crowds chanting while carrying Nazi symbols, calling others Nazis and commies, and yelling so no one can speak? The righties turn it into Pelosi calling people Nazis simply because she accurately described their behavior.

    Aren’t some of you at least a little ashamed by the antics of the anti-Obama crowd that has gotten so much press lately?

    Did she see one sign, or 100, or 1000? She still insinuated that all the people protesting HC Reform were associated with one or two nut jobs with the swastikas.

    That is what Democratic politicians and Liberal media commentators have done from the tea parties to the HC reform town hall meetings. (Tea Baggers….that is the best they can do to report the story?) You know what they say about “sticks and stones” so bring on the union thugs to break some more bones.

She only claims to have seen people carrying swastikas taking away from meaningful debate, that they didn’t want to give anyway. She may have seen one or two (I don’t know for sure, but I doubt that that it was a mob of them). By doing this, she inferred that most people objecting to HR reform are carrying swastikas. IS THERE SOMETHING THAT I AM UNAWARE SWASTIKAS STAND FOR? I can’t believe you want to stand so strongly behind this crazy woman.

    cdward says take a picture of the few crazies from the other side and say that represents the opposition. I replied that is exactly what Pelosi did. You try to refute what I wrote by exactly confirming my statement. She found a few crazies carrying swastikas and said this represented the anti-health care side. Why is OK if she does it but not if the right does it. This is exactly what the point of the cartoon above is about.
