   No, Andy, a real progressive would recognize fear-mongering and bad taste, but defend his right to live here and speak his peace, as long as what he professed IS peaceful. That HATE mongering, and inciting riot or illegal acts is coming close to the surface IS hitting the news by its impacts. That is not good for anyone.

   Palau is going to take the Uighurs. (spelling may be off here) Ever been to Palau? A wonderful place, about 18000 inhabitants, supermulticultural due to the waves of immigrants and the effects of wars, with one of the earlier large marine sanctuaries. They’re obviously not afraid.
   And we wimp out at the slightest hint of taking anyone from a situation we created. (But then, of course, we did create it and might expect some blowback…)

   So let me get this straight…

   Obama is giving Gitmo detainees their explosive belts back, which they’ll wear while watching TV. And then he’s going to give people free stuff so that they’ll board them in their homes.

   Sounds just like the Fox News version I saw on TV last night.
