Obama never said this, and Gore never said he invented the Internet. Just another example of conservatives creating alternate realities.

Right Joe? And the promise if we passed this stimulus Unemployment will not hit above 8%.
I just want to know where my magical green jobs are?

Barrachio didn’t save my job. It’s been 2 weeks, and I’m scouring the internet, looking for all of the other jobs he created …

By the way, my company is, sorry, was the #1 hardware supplier to the top 3 wind turbine manufacturers.

Barrachio is looking more like Dumbo - or should it be Dumbama?

We’re already seeing “stimulus funded” jobs in my rather remote area, but numbers aren’t in across the country. Gore DID write the legislation that opened the internet to the public instead of just the military, no, he didn’t “invent it”, and never claimed to.

Bush/Cheney never have found any of their alleged WMDs– a lot more deadly “invention” to sell the public.

It appears Obama’s large ears might be to actually listen to people who propose solutions. The hoods, handcuffs, and earmuffs of Gitmo detainees better illustrate the input the previous administration accepted, and how they treated those who tried to speak up.

dtroutma: yes, Gore, as much as anyone else, can take credit for the DEVELOPMENT of the Internet. But he seldom gets credit for THAT either.

“And the promise if we passed this stimulus Unemployment will not hit above 8%.”

If they had predicted higher than 8%, they would’ve been called a fearmonger by people like yourself. They’ve admitted that they were wrong, that they were too optimistic, and that they didn’t know, at the time, just how much damage the conservative plan for America did.

“McCoy should get his facts straight. OBozo claimed he had SAVED and created 150,000 jobs. A nice trick by oBozO, throw out an unprovable figure.”

Where were you when the Bush Administration did exactly the same?

Sorry Danial “SAVED or created was not in the lexicon till Obama put it there! Either Jobs or there or not you can not quantify jobs “saved” please tell me that when we are losing jobs?
Please it is time to stop invoking bushes name ever time Obama fails to delivery. The Congress in Bushes term had control. And it is that Congress under Obama and at Obama command that enacted this failure of a stimulus.

“SAVED or created was not in the lexicon till Obama put it there!”

    Demonstrably false.

“We have estimated that our rural development programs have saved or created more than 500,000 jobs just since the Bush Administration took office in January of 2001.” –Ann Veneman 6/24/2004

“These funds are part of the Bush Administration’s ongoing efforts to spur economic development in rural areas and will help save or create more than 1,800 jobs.” –Mike Johanns 3/24/2005

“The funding announced today is expected to save or create more than 2,300 jobs in 20 states.” –Thomas Dorr 5/27/2007

Unless, of course, Obama went back in time and put it in the lexicon so that, in the future, he could use it. That sneaky Obama.

Failure? Really? Less than 10% of the stimulus money has been spent and it’s already a failure? Wow. And no, I will not stop invoking Bush’s name until at least October 2009 (when Obama’s first actual budget goes into effect).

Remember: We are STILL operating with Bush’s budget until October!

Or didn’t you know how fiscal years work?

The more serious problem is both “unemployed” beyond benefits who no longer count in the numbers, and “under-employed”- not making enough to keep up with what they previously obligated to. This includes people with car payments, boats, and houses, that are maligned by the very “conservatives” responsible for reduced hours to escape paying benefits- etc. BOTH parties have been responsible for changing the way statistics are calculated, and that is cowardly on BOTH their parts, and even our weaker “third parties” like Libertarians are part of that hoax.
