    akibono, everyone’s entitled to their opinion, but my comment was about McCoy putting dumb words in Obama’s mouth in the toon … as I said, Obama is an intelligent, thoughtful speaker and McCoy’s putting dumb words in his mouth is, well, dumb. IMHO

    Your quarrel isn’t with McCoy. He just echoes the talking points he’s been given. If he were interested in commenting on the actual facts, it would have taken him three minutes to find out what that quote was actually based on. (And that the Bushies praised SC nominee Clarence Thomas for the same experience and empathy they now attack Sotomayer for!)

    Your right Obama would never have said that in front of his teleprompters.Unless Joe did break it…Or he thought the mike was off… Or he knew it was only his cheer leaders and not actual reporter in front of him.
    But yeb we have a elected a done nothing guy who can read a speach whith the best of them.

    1. Obama doesn’t need a teleprompter. 2. Thomas was the WORST person ever to run EEOC, never spoke at his confirmation hearings and has rarely spoken from the bench. 3. Sotomayor has more intellect, and experience, than Thomas, Alito, Scalia and Roberts combined upon entering the court. 4. I have to agree that any “average” person, minority or not, knows more about reality than any of the “white guys” like Bush, Cheney, Condolezzaa Rice, Alberto Gonzales, Clarence Thomas, or others raised with silver spoons, away the madding crowd.
