This is soooo McCoy. Over the top in exaggeration to the point of gross misrepresentation.

All previous comments are valid. But i do have to ask, do ‘crats think they are exempt,(from taxes) because they claim they don’t make as much as hard working business men??

It’s okay when Republicans don’t pay taxes, they don’t believe in them.

fennec, I have a brother who is so far right he considers me a raving communist. If you don’t want to hear an uninvited hours long spew, uh speech on the injustices of the tax system, don’t even mutter “tax” with in earshot of him.

That is why Dems don’t mind raising taxes–they don’t pay them

Um Daschle’s tax problems are from when he WASN’T in Congress.

The partisan angle is BS… the tax-ineptitude is true. Signe’s toon is a much better take. http://www.gocomics.com/signewilkinson/2009/02/04/

I thought the Germans were fanatical over tax issues. However, I’m beginning to believe that in the US a person would be more easily forgiven for murder than for a tax issue.

Just about everybody falsifies records on their taxes, be it when they itemize and declare erroneous charitable donations, inadvertently forget to list all interest income, or cash received for work or tips. Daschle go his due, but it’s hypocritical to criticize him for cheating on taxes if you’ve swindled the government out of a few bucks yourself. A cheat is a cheat.

… and it’s so easy to rationalize - “everybody does it”; “it’s unfair”; “they owe it to me”; “no one will notice such a small amount.”

No. And Daschle, et al, paid their taxes, with penalties, and admitted to their mistake.

When was the last time a Republican did that?

  17. PAJ

    PAJ said, 9 months ago

Yes they admitted “mistake”–but only after they were uncovered. Otherwise SOP

So, you’re able to fix your mistakes before you know that you made them?
