   Let’s face it - Obama’s stance on abortion will have no effect on the availability of abortions. Bush with a Republican congress was unable to forge a ban on abortions. The most Bush was able to do was a ban on federal funds to international groups; Obama could do even less (and has already reversed that ban).

   Of course, the right wing nut cases will ignore that and spew their hatred at Obama.

   I believe abortion should be used in last resort, when there is no way out. Like a cop’s gun (at leat in Canada); only to be used when baton, pepper spray, taser didn’t worked or couldn’t be used but he still needs it at hand. And like a gun, no on loves to have to use it (a thing so-called pro life don’t understand. hey see us like remorseless, cold blooded killers).

   I don’t agree with extreme pro-life positions, but I understand them. I don’t support late abortions (and I’m not the only one). A babydoesn’t pop up subbenly in a woman’s belly nor does it suddenly comes alive as soon as it gets out of there. It slowly evolves from a cell to a tiny human being.
   Where I draw the line is when the baby can be kept alive outside of the womb. His body doesn’t depend on his mother’s therefore it is separate. It’s a human being so you have to go through with it. It’s too late to avoid or shorten pregnancy (you have already gone through most of it, so what is the point?).

   But, I just wonder where the pro-choice got their shocking pictures. They can’t get it from the clinics (unless the personnel is really, really dumb) and won’t get it from the mother (believe it or not, they have remorse. They are human, too.)
   On the other hand, these pictures could very well come from spontaneous abortions; miscarriages. I guess all pregnancies aren’t made to go all the way. Pregnancies are not all happy walks in the park with birds singing. And miscarriages are at least as frequent as abortions.

    The experts estimate that as much as 1 in every 3 conceptions doesn’t make it to live birth. As this includes failures to implant, many women probably don’t even know anything has happened. Many more that miscarry in the first month also may not realize they were pregnant.

    That fetus should be hoping his momma feels like she can raise him. That fetus should hope that it’s not the offspring of rape and will be hated it’s whole life. That fetus should hope to be born in a place where each person has some semblance of personal liberty.

    It’s funny how conservatives say they want small government until it comes time to telling other people what they are not allowed to do.

    Ms.Frog certainly reflects my views exactly. I too now wonder where they get those pictures?
    I am in favor of low cost and readily available birth control for all without regard to anything, age, sex, religion…..anything!!!
    American Catholics should demand that the Vatican approve effective birth control for everyone!!

    I dont know where the pictures Cor Frog saw came from but I know that the Abortionists themselves cover the whole thing extensively in textbooks and videos - hard to believe isn’t it? Remember they see nothing wrong with it.

    I have also heard each baby part from an “evacuation and extraction” (a.k.a. partial-birth abortion) has to be laid out on the tray and identified because each “part” left in the women from a late-term abortion can cause infection and disease.
