Yeah he has. That is why he’s keeping Gates and McCain’s defense advisor. Obamaboy is smart enough to know he don’t know $&&T

old71, so McCrankey and Gov Blabbermouth would be good saviors? I’ve seen concern so far but not McCoy’s jerk action.

Islamo is not a word nor a prefix to one. Why can’t you say Islamic, or maybe even be more accurate and say Fundamentalist Whabbi Muslim Terrorism?
I can’t stand lazy speech nor cutsey little made up words.

I think this is an accurate rendering of the state of rectal clench (look closely at the speaker above :) for those who were responsible for the disastrous decisions following 9/11, but, c’mon, Obama is the LAST person who will make that face.

Obama gets National Security and intelligence briefings 7 days a week since he was elected
Bush used to take Sunday off because we know terrorists only work 6 days a week.
Obama had enough sense to say we should focus on Afghanistan and not Iraq when he was still a state senator.
Apparently Obama had access to better intelligence in Springfield than Bush did in DC
All you have to do is look at Obama’s NS team to realize he is better prepared than Bush is now.
Bush’s first NS Advisor was a Soviet expert appointed 9 years after the Soviet Union broke up.

As opposed to the last President, who was briefed on Religious Fundamentalist Terrorism and told the briefer, “OK, you’ve covered your ass.”

    Ian,
I believe you are referring to W and not Bill:

On August 6, 2001, the Bush misadministration received a President’s Daily Brief entitled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside the U.S.” Here’s how the Bushies reacted:

Bunnypants, on his month-long vacation at the Lazy W which would finally bring him back to the White House after Labor Day, told the Brief’s courier, “OK, you’ve covered your bleeep, now get out.”

  11. HUMPHRIES

    HUMPHRIESGenius_badge said, 11 months ago

I believe, in spite of conventional wisdom, that W did indeed have access to intelligence. The problem wasn’t the intelligence but W’s ability to listen. Even though the man is a little slow, it’s even harder to hear with all the toads a’ croaken.

I have yet to see Obama lose his composure, even when loudmouth Bill O’Reilly tried boisterously to make Barack admit to ‘income redistribution’ he retained his cool and wouldn’t cave in to Bill.

IMHO, McCoy drawings are the best in this website. Lots of fine detail in the shape of the noses, faces, background, etc. And when the subject is non-political, they are actually hilarious. This cartoon, nevertheless, is a typical example of bad faith editorializing and ad hominem attack. Such a pity Glenn, you could do so much better…

How about the disastrous decisions made by the Clinton administration that led to 9/11? Yet Bambam Barack is appointing the same people from Clinton’s justice department that stopped the FBI from reading the intelligence off of the 20th hijacker’s computer that could have stopped the plot dead in its tracks. And all because of some asinine technicality that only lawyers like Obama, Biden, and the Clintons can understand. The rest of us should never forget the famous phrase, “the law is an ass.” As are most lawyers.

The left is also well on their way to ensuring that everyone in the CIA who aggressively fought terrorism and protected us under Bush is kicked out under Obama. Remember, in the left’s eyes, terrorists are really just poor brown people, so we should understand that it’s our worldwide economic oppression that caused them to slaughter us. So, according to them, dismantling the CIA, cutting our military, and going communist would both solve the terrorist problem and save the planet. Bush has kept us safe for 7 years but that veil of protection is very quickly being lifted by the Democrats.

With the Iraq war, Bush showed Arabs the carrot and the stick. The stick is that we are a brave country who will unleash our full military power on their heartland if they cross us and the carrot is that if they surrender to us, we will create a liberal democracy on their lands, which is in fact the only thing that can stop terrorism in the long run. The Iraq war was a masterstroke that has done more to protect our nation in the short and long-term against terrorism than anything else our government has done to date.

JJ your revisionist history has forgotten the fact that W ignored every warning he got. Too busy cutting taxes and going on vacation.

I don’t like repeating myself but here I go:

On August 6, 2001, the Bush misadministration received a President’s Daily Brief entitled “Bin Laden Determined to Strike Inside the U.S.” Here’s how the Bushies reacted:

Bunnypants, on his month-long vacation at the Lazy W which would finally bring him back to the White House after Labor Day, told the Brief’s courier, “OK, you’ve covered your bleeep, now get out.”

By going into Iraq W proved he suffered from ADD far as Afghanistan was concerned.
Remember Bin Laden and the Taliban?
Well they’re still there but Bush will be soon back in Texas
Rightwingers live in this Utopia where everything is either Clinton’s fault or Obama’s fault but W is infallible

If you’re trying to quote Dickens (Oliver Twist), it’s “the law is a idiot, the law is a ass… the law is a bachelor.” Said by Mr. Bumble in response to the statement that the law assumes a man is responsible or the actions of his wife.

McCoy has eight more years to lament the passing of GWB, and to weep over his retirement. I am relishing that there is now 42 days, 13 hours, 5 minutes and 20 seconds before this hero of McCoy’s is gone. No cartoonist has the ability to express pure hatred as effectively as does Mr McCoy, so this talent will be on non stop display for 2920 days. How he must be hurting!

    ….”

That’s sort of the equivalent of someone calling the airport and saying, “There’s a bomb in the terminal,” then hanging up. Do you know what the official protocol is in that situation? Keep going about business as usual. In airport security, a threat must be both credible and specific to warrant action. Otherwise you never get anything done. We can’t shut down the country every time we have a non-specific (though credible) threat.
