“Hey, everybody, Marty Moon here …. now you, too, can lose 40 pounds the way I just did! Call 1800-MARTYMOON today for my secret to losing weight while watching Mudlark football! Operators are standing by!”

Hmmm a kid who’s a little different inspires Milford fans to wear green – where have we heard this before?
Sub Terry Gallagher for Lini Verde and football for basketball and you can recycle all those “Go Green” signs in the stands.

Aw, don’t ever recall Marty being overweight. I see he’s back to his shipping crate booth.

Milford does seem prone to these fads, like the “tat slap” last basketball season.
Anyone know the origin of Tilden High? It stirred a memory of the man who lost the disputed presidential election of 1876, Samuel J. Tilden. Does Tilden as a Milford opponent go back to the Berrill days?

Nothing says fall football like Marty Moon in his crap shack with his ever present flask at the ready!

Marty Moon has always been very thin because of his liquid diet.

Moonpie with stylish haircut and 1970’s watch, check. Spacious tinderbox, err pressbox, check. Sippy cup with Bailey’s for courage, priceless. Yessir, Tilden High is a Valley conference rival from the Jack Berrill days.

Not sure that Tilden receiver was going to catch that ball anyway, what with his hands super glued together like that.

Believe I do recall Tilden as a Milford opponent in the 1960’s, but that could be my faulty memory. There used to be a real Gil Thorp webpage where you could find this stuff out, but now the link (www.gilthorp.com) just redirects to the Chicago Tribune sports web site. #FAIL

I like the evil looks they’ve been putting on Doyle. Prelude to his downfall.

That green section isn’t going to work when they play St. Bridget’s Parochial.

Did Moonpie move his prisoner lo-jack to his wrist?

Must be pretty warm in MILFord cuz Marty is wearing a short sleeve shirt. And why is he slamming his fist on the consel because the Irishman is coming in?
