    Darby Kiser kept turning down Bobby Ottewell, Molly Kinsella kept turning down Steve Boone, and now Mia Meeks keeps turning down Doyle. The women in this strip sure play hard to get, and the guys all have skin as thick as a rhino to take the constant rejection.

    I wonder what Mia looks like. Is she the female version of a vest-sweater wearing nerd?

    I expect Doyle will become a lawyer or a politician, based on the fact that he always has an angle.

    Doyle Dane, Milford’s metrosexual understudy of Lini Verde. The 2 young ladies in P3 find Terrence to be an interesting fella indeed.

    Please tell me there’s not a kid in Milford named Chipper. That’s just cruel.

    Who can blame the young women of Milford for being a little gunshy about relationships, given that 90% of them have been raised by single moms?

    @Gilfan79 – If it’s so, how come we haven’t seen him at MCC over he summer winning one of the youth golf tournaments? Must be a couple of other students named “Driver” and “Putter” out there that are stealing his thunder

    Doyle and Terry will be starting up a new IRA faction in Milford. The Apex company will soon be churning out small- arms and Lucky Charms. All the football players have part-time jobs there at exhorbitant wages, and Gil calls it “brilliant.” He has also been saying “top-o-the-morn’ -to-ye-lads” at the 4 pm practice.

    @Gilfan79

    An example of creulty: A ways back I was behind the plate for a high-school game. The SS (who was All-State TE also) had 3HRs and 2 doubles. No pitcher could get him out. About 10 pro scouts were there to see it: Chipper Jones

    These boys are the most dense Milford has seen since last year. Helllllloooo…. the girls are totally gay… not that there is anything wrong with that.

    Dadjo, I like where you’re going with this. It brings to mind the old golf adage, “Drive for show and putt for dough.” The Chipper’s never get any respect (although I’ll admit that Bluedarter did find one fine exception).

    Isn’t Doyle just calling Chip “Chipper,” sort of a nickname on a nickname? Fred McMurray (as Steve Douglas) used to call Chip Douglas “Chipper” when he was having a heart-to-heart talk with him. For you trivia buffs out there, what was Chip Douglas’ real first name?
