At first, Darby’s reply seemed somewhat petulant, but on second thought, I don’t blame her for being a little annoyed. Although Mimi means well, it’s not like Darby has shown any signs that she can’t handle the situation. And since we still know nothing of her home life, it’s fair to say Mimi doesn’t, either.

Mimi: TRUST ME Darby, I can help you. I have experience making children disappear, like they they never existed, help you get your own cheesy coffee mug. All that’s left (thumbs pointing to chest like Godfather II’s Tom Hagan) is our friendship.

Not sure if that’s a weird growth coming off of Darby’s head in P1, or a weird growth coming off of the tree, or a weird cloud formation, but whatever it is, Mimi should be a heck of a lot more concerned about it than taking care of Mini-Mongo.

Two-and-a-half men. (Or two-and-three-quarters, considering the size of this kid.)

You’re right “bearwku82” Mimi does have a way of making those “pesky little situations” go away. I think it’s weird that no one in MILFord has said anything about the missing Thorp kids. I think that Marty Moon also had something to do with it as he has not said a word. Darby, trust in Mimi…

Does Darby live alone? I thought that she lived with her mother. If she does, I’d say that’s not doing it without help.

Ah yes the Mystery of the Vanishing Thorp Progeny. There’s a very simple explanation. Have you ever watched a TV soap opera? They learned a long time ago that kids stop being cute about third grade. At that point they get sent off to “summer camp” where they gradually stop being mentioned. Then a couple of years later they magically show up on Mom and Dad’s doorstep with their brand new medical degree in hand. Sometimes their law degree. I predict that Keri will return on a break from her LPGA tour having just won the Dinah Shore. Along with her will be her “life partner” Natalya. FYI, they’re considering moving to Massachusetts if you get my drift. Jamie, on the other hand, will turn out to have dropped out of State U’s Sports Management program. Having tried to live in the shadow of Gil and Mimi and Keri’s sports success, he started self medicating his “vague feelings of ennui” with regular doses of a Tequila and Vicodin cocktail. This will trigger a on going sub-plot about Jamie’s re-hab and eventual triumphant return as the agent for his sister’s golf career. In a surprise move Jamie negotiates a contract for Mom and Dad to take on a second career in Sports Broadcasting going into a head to head battle with Marty Moon.

Did Dinny and Bobby switch places in P2 and P3 because their comments did. In P2 Dinny is batting, P3 it is Bobby.
