I hate to burst the blurbie bubble, but Gil Thorp was NOT “Created by Neal Rubin and Rod Whigham”. It was created in 1958 by Jack Berrill, who did it for decades. Rubin signed on in 2004, and Whigham in 2008. Let’s give credit where credit is due, okay?

Gah, I’m kicking myself for not noticing that. That’s pretty freaking insulting to the memory of the great Jack Berrill, actually.

Their stadiuim is or at least was named Berrill Stadium a few years ago. Where do Rubin and Whigham get that from? In fqct Whigham could do us all a favor and sign off right now……..

This strip needs some serious proof-reading.

I assume it is meant to refer to who is creating the strip now.

Why is Dumcan(70) in the huddle? Is he playing offense now?

According to a dictionary, to create is to “bring into existence:..Would you say the current head of Ford Motor Company created the Ford automobile?

Not the model T but you could say he has created more recent models. Rubin and Whigham are the current creators. That being said, they should have mentioned Jack Berrill.

Movingto-Not to argue, but that is like saying the step father of a child is the current creator. Something is created just once, and then it is enhanced, changed, or made worse which seems to be the current trend. The box used to mention Berill as the creator and that has been changed.
