    @Veridian

    You are, indeed.

    Brushing your teeth with a beaver is surely a Valentine’s day treat . . .

    (Sorry – I know it’s rudie, but it actually paraphrases another Get Fuzzy strip)

    Not as rude as beaver toilet paper.

    That must be Bucky Beaver from the Ipana Toothpaste commercials, circa 1960.

    Ok, now I get it. Bucky hired him to spy on ferrets.

    @dukedoug

    I think most of us know Bucky Beaver only from the “Grease” movie.

    I remember the Ipana commercials….Bucky Beaver was a ‘brush your teeth’ role model…

    I’m with you, TTM. This is the only strip I make sure to read every day. I would miss havng my morning chuckle if there are no new strips.

    Hey … no advertising here !! (We even had Ipana and Bucky in Australia … and we don’t have beavers here – of the “dam the river” kind.)

    We DO have platypusses …

    I thought that would be ‘platypi’ like octopus (singular) becomes ‘octopi’ (plural)

    and BTW octopi is TASTY!
