    Hopefully Satchel never finds out about Edison’s Talking Doll, the very first attempt at a talking toy developed by Thomas Edison. It was a large doll with a little cylinder phonograph inside that played a nursery rhyme. It was a spectacular failure and quite creepy-sounding to boot due to the primitive sound technology. He’d have nightmares for weeks!
