    I’m with slim on this: isn’t it a bit fishy that Guido keeps getting compensation for missing his flights through his own fault?

    This is why I interpret it to be a little different. Like that Guido and the dog are the same person as in a were-dog. Why he is so elusive.

    If Jim S. lives near a University he may be able to find a creative writing student who could develop a set of actual story arcs that included character development.
