It’s nice that Slim is nowhere in sight.

I have an idea. Let’s leave Slim there and bring Walt home.

Jiggs looks right to my memory but Maggie doesn’t quite seem so.

@shel4 I think Maggie’s hairstyle goes back to the earliest days of the strip. She looks wrong to me, too. It seems she had a straight back style when I saw the strip in the 50’s-60’s (?), with a knot at back, same as the style shown in this strip. It wasn’t curly though in later days.

I think Maggie looks thinner than I remember.

I think you are eating too many TV dinners.

Who’s the hot tamale in the center of panel one?

Interesting! A very nice story arc so far! I am hoping Joel and Rufus, however, feature in the Sunday comic this weekend!

I used to love Dinty Moore Beef Stew, but the last time I had it it just wasn’t as good. I still love Swanson’s Chicken a la King.

The first Maggie was heavy and the first Jiggs was tall, but she lost weight and he lost height. This Maggie is heavier than the final Maggie.

I was wrong I thought only the main characters were around
the retirement home but if Dinty Moore and the gang are there who know how many side characters will show up.
The real question is characters that die in strips, are they alive in the home?. If so then Doc, Avery, and Bill will be there discussing automobiles and also Walts beloved
Phyllis. If they are then definitely this is Walts swan song.
