Maybe Slim will end up sitting beside Alley Oop – or Tarzan.

Look at Panel 2 again, and you’ll see that Walt is winking. He’s just yanking Slim’s chain.

Either on or off is fine. Hard to tell the difference anyway.

I’ve never known Walt to be mean or sarcastic, even in jest. It seems out of character for him.

Miseaure Malla. He’s another super intelligent ape along with Grod. Glenn Shadix voiced both Malla and the evil Brain.

Judging from the pupil of his right eye, it looks like Walt is winking at Slim.

I’m so happy to see Walt again I won’t even note that he’s technically 116 now, which would make him the oldest living man on Earth.

How do you come up with 116? In the very early days of the strip it was pointed out that he had been a college graduate and had been a sales manager. I always figured he was born about 1890,which would put him at about 123 or so.
