Rufus is, literally, in the dump(s), poor fella! No high priced kitty food for his kitty’s with his ‘future fortune’ falling thru!
.
Joel knows how to make a good pun, even if it’s just a tad tasteless. At least, he didn’t say anything mean about Rufus’ supposed aunt or the people who said Rufus should have been coming into some money.
Becky should have the last word in this arc with her version of a ‘horse laugh’, which would be, what?
a donkey’s Hee Haw?
a mule’s guffaw?

And as the two rubes stroll off into the sunset, we bid a fond farewell to this story arc.

Is this the end of this arc? I really hope so. It gets my award for stupidest of the decade and that says a lot since I was reading Dick Tracy two years ago.

Well it’s Saturday, end of the week, and hopefully end of this story.
Never thought I’d say this, but let’s get back to Slim and Clovia. And Walt.

Glad to see this particular arc complete. I think it stayed passed its date and was smelling something fierce.

You know, Louie, this could be the start of a beautiful friendship.

Please be over! If so I’ll say the last frame was funny…

I do believe this is it, so go ahead and say it.

I hope the new arc is about Corky. We haven’t see a story about him and his crew lately. Or maybe, as I suggested earlier, a road trip.

Guess you haven’t been to Alley Oop lately. You’ll find some real doozies over there.
