Is the weight of the conversation bubble pressing on Rufus?

@Jim:
While I love Rufus and Joel (and relieved that we’re not inundated with a surplus of Slim and Clovia), still, I would love to see some long-absent characters: Ada and Amanda Lynn, Gus and Kathleen, Chip, Amy, and their kids, etc.
But most of all, I’d LOVE to see the long-lost Gretchen to suddenly appear.
Agree, fellow posters?

Not only the long lost characters should be brought back to the strip but reality in the time line should be reinstated.
How many here remember Grandfather Clock? When his time came the death, funeral, and reaction of the relatives was handled with a dignity not seen in this strip for a long time. I love Walt but what is he now 110?

I think that the vast majority of long time GA followers would accept the passing of Walt if handled properly and did not result in additional (if that is possible) Slim stories.

Skeezix’s and my odometers just clicked over today. I’m beginning to wonder who’s gonna go first, us or WALT?
Oh, the dithering in the art department…..

Blame the strange radiations of a meteorite that crashed where the town was built. It gives them all abnormally long lives. Dick Tracy has a meteor fragment in his pocket at all times. Why he looks so fit.

@Night-Gaunt49
Was that a meteor fragment in Tracy’s pocket or is he just happy to see Tess?

The reason there are so many Smiths is that originally, everyone was named Smith. As people sinned, they had to change their names.
(It might have been the other way around)

I think that Joel is pretty damn smart. And I like all his answers.
