By now Bar Humbug should have figured out Lil’s modus operandi and refused to let her in.

How about changing the name of this strip from “Gasoline Alley” to “The Skinners”??
firebrand1 said, 5 months ago
The strip has always been Gasoline Alley and it’s current
and former family owners and friends. We see so much of
Slim and Clovia because they are running Gasoline Alley. I
imagine, one day Rover, their son, will take over the running
of the shop.

This isn’t accurate at all. I just read the collection of Dick Moores’ excellent version of the strip from 1964-1966. Skeezix was running the garage and although he was a central figure, there were stories that dealt with the lives of other characters, especially his sister, Judy. These were well written stories, too, not just repetitive riffs on two stupid characters tyring to out-dumb each other. Strangely, Clovia was smarter and more level-headed as a teenager than she is now.

Better yet, a spin-off.

Just don’t go to Bar Karma, they would straighten out those to bully chiselers.

Previous writers (exp: Dick Moore…) had more of a gentile humor akin to a Garrison Keilor rather than a buffoonish style like Larry the cable guy.

A “gentile” humour?! Would that be a Jew’s version of a Gentile or a Mormon’s.
