There ought to be a law that what’s in Sunday’s comic must be carried over through the week! I sure miss Walt!

He’s nervous….probably running from the cops (notice the sweat drops)…and of course the cops will show up at Slim and Clovia’s. Wait for it….this is just about my least favorite story line….sigh….

Hopefully. there will be a nice New Year panel tomorrow that will at least cut into this idiotic (and crashingly dull) story line.

I really don’t mind this story line.

Throughout its history, Gasoline Alley has always had a bit of a “city slicker/country bumpkin” element to the stories. If you read the old stories, you will find that the Wallet family has encountered many con-men over the years. The over riding theme is that down-home innocence always triumphs over self-serving shysters in the end.

Slim has never been the brightest bulb in the lamp but I doubt that anyone would say that he is not 100% honest despite the actions of his relatives. I find the situation to be humorous.

There’s nothing wrong with this story line. I like it.
