    First they “sell” cookies.
Before long they’ll be playing pool, and that rhymes with school……… There’s trouble in Booger’s City.

So is that book just the “Galaxy Guide” or is it the “HH Guide the Galaxy”? Shouldn’t it have a big re button that says “Don’t Panic”?

Maybe they should replace the napkins with towels?

Well why should they need to have bake sales? Now I wonder how well the military would do using bake sales to fund their multibillion dollar weapons.

Still not understanding why they’d want to do a bake sale on the school grounds instead of somewhere adults with money might go.

It’s not the “PC idiots,” it’s the professionals who advise school boards. Look, everyone who gets elected to a school board – at least around here – wants the best for the kids, but most of them aren’t teachers or experts in child development or nutrition or child psychology. So they listen to the “experts” on those areas. The nutritionists say that sugary treats and sandwiches made with white bread are bad, or that the risks of peanut allergies are too great to allow kids to bring peanut butter sandwiches to school, then the Board members – because they want the best for the kids – will ban sugary treat and sandwiches made from white bread and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches from the schools. They have the best of intentions but we all know what the road to Hell is paved with.

Under the Articles of Confederation, the military was funded by bake sales (well – voluntary contributions). It did ensure volunteers weren’t in it “just for the money”. Thomas Jefferson’s last regret concerning the new Constitution is that it didn’t have balanced budget amendment. How right he was …
