This looks like the end of a very enjoyable story, particualrly for those of us who remember fondly Jack Benny on radio and tv. And, unlike “the Horn blows at Midnight” which turned out to be a dream, this story was not a dream. Unless I am wrong, I don’t recall any GA weekday stories that turned out to be dreams.

Jack Benny’s best film was TO BE OR NOT TO BE.
I hope Skeezix can watch that on his new DVD player.

I’ll agree, but in my opinion, “The Horn Blows at Midnight” wasn’t as bad as its reputation makes it out to be.

Excellent arc, I learned a lot about Jack Benny and his cohorts. The racing tout character is great, and hearing the radio segment gave depth to Jim’s fond and humorous tribute. In this multimedia world, we need more pushes like this to explore the vast entertainment history archives at our fingertips. Bravo!
