Gertie stole the show. Bet the Cackle Sisters aren’t happy about that.

Why don’t you, gertie, your bud, byrdie, and your new fans move out of GA and find your own strip. Bring back the old guard, and btw where is Walt?

Gertie, not only are you known for your “dancing”, but you will also soon be known as “Angel Eyes”.
Then who knows, you may be much closer to grabbing that ‘Gold Ring’.
Byrd, you are smoooooth!

Byrd proposes on stage, a stunned Gertie accepts, they sail into the sunset and are never seen again. Overview of the audience, focus in on all the GA gang. Scancarelli takes the hint (hint?!) and moves on to a story about Chipper’s twins. Walt moves in with Skeezix & Nina so no sitter needed, and the commenters live happily ever after.

Well put! But fear not, they would still whimper on and on and on and…….

Pastor Present is back at his church where Slim and Clovia attend. He could perform the marriage ceremony if they wanted a church wedding.
But, wedding ceremonies and wedding vows aren’t even necessary for a couple to get married.
Here in Oklahoma, after some preliminary things are done, all a couple has to do is find someone who is authorized by the state to sign and file a marriage license with the records clerk at a local county courthouse.
All Gertie has to do with the next set is do what she did the 1st time. Just pretend to dance with the other gals.
If she were to become a part of their act, they would have to work out a routine to make it like she didn’t know what she was doing.

Slow pan out over the audience, down to a close up of Walt, sleeping peacefully in his seat, undisturbed since Gertie was thrown out.

This is getting better and better each day. If this story arc is coming to an end, I hope that Byrd and Gertie get married, and we can see them as regulars on GA. Even for a Sunday comic inbetween other story arcs between Clovia and the usuals. Keep up the good work Jim!!
