After weeks of denials by Eve, it turns out to be Ramona Lisa! Upton is devastated. Fade out as he’s sharing a chocolate malted with Terry at the diner.

    Walt was given a special senior’s seat due to his amazing age and is watching the show with Corky.
    The crook will come out (shepherd’s crook , a la vaudeville) and drag Gertie off stage. She’ll retreat to the green room with the cat. Where Bird will see her but not recognise her on account of the wig and physical adjustments, and will tell her she’s fired. Exit, weeping.

    OldManMountain, your story line is next, how fast can you get through it ? We have a short attention span in this crowd.

    I enjoy EVERY morning coming on here to check to see what has happened. And can’t wait for the next day to come to see what will happen.
    For the ones that are habitual complainers on here. I have a suggestion…dial 1-800-Wah-Waah…geeesshh we know already that you aren’t happy with this storyline. You don’t need to repeat and repeat and repeat.
    When I don’t like the storyline..i simply shut up. But for this story arc..I love it, the art is just as fabulous as ever. And I’m glad they brought back Byrd!!!

I’ll join in by urging Mr. Scancarelli to take his own sweet time– we’re not going anywhere, and neither are the long-time complainers apparently, some of whom have been blowing the same single discordant note for months now.     Dear Whiners,

    If a comic is not bringing you happiness, why do you choose to continue reading it? It shows a tremendous lack of maturity to sit in on something you dislike and make everyone else around you miserable.

    The comic belongs to Jim Scancarelli - NOT YOU. It is also immature to expect that he should change his style or pace to suit your needs.

    If you’re old enough to write posts here, you’re old enough to learn decent, mature behavior, so it doesn’t matter if I’m addressing 70-year-old’s or 7-year-old’s… and believe me, some days it’s really hard to tell!

    If this is too slow for you, why don’t you go watch a movie on TV, where the frames go by at ten per second! This is a COMIC STRIP, and the frames go by at a much slower rate… only a few per day.

    Come on everyone, you know that one of the cardinal rules of comics and soap opera is pacing. Earl won’t notice that it’s Gertie until Saturday. (At the earliest) Then there will be the Sunday break. We won’t get much more than high kicks until Monday. Meanwhile we’ll all enjoy Sundays break with either Rufus or Slim. I

    I wanted to thank Xrystalia for her post. Me I am enjoying this and from an audience viewing the strip I think it is very funny also I might think its part of the show.
    In Branson, MO entertainers would have audience participate and they would litterally take over the show.
    I hope this happens with Gertie. Its so funny. If you go to DT that goes as the same pace. Only GA is funny.
