Gertie’s got pretty good legs for an old lady - I mean, lady of a certain age.

Will Earl pick Gertie out of that line-up?
Too bad Ramona Lisa wasn’t available to fill in for the ill Cackle Sister.

Go Gertie!
NotNorman, inane IS a form of comedy! Gertie hopping into a dance line is no different than a loner inventor hopping into a troupe of bamboo stick dancers. Of course they don’t know the routines, but they try and that’s what makes it funny amid the tension of the wrong people finding them out. We know how the stick dancer made out. Here’s hoping Gertie pulls off something equally remarkable! :0)

I wonder what the cackling is. Tap shoes? Crinkly costumes? It appears Gertie isn’t cackling as the words indicate the other three are, but it will be fun if she figures it out.

I think the cackling’s coming from the audience.

If she tries to match those moves, a lot more than her thumbs will be sore.

It’s funny how Gertie seems to have magically lost weight in the last month…like 100 pounds!

This strip wouldn’t be so near funny if the writter did what the comments says. This will be one way Gertie meets Byrd again.
This almost reminds of Branson, MO where the shows will have willing audience members participate who have a sense of humor and it becomes hysterically funny.

When Earl E. Byrd turns around to look at the women about whom he’s talking, he will see Gertie.

Will Earl see Gertie? Or will that wig throw him off?

This whole schtick sounds like something taken from an episode of I Love Lucy, as Lucy crashes Ricky’s act at the club. But that’s okay. It still works!

Byrd’s not going to reconize Gerti at all. But I think he will hit on her anyway.

Does the phrase “I’ve fallen and can’t get up” seem

Yes, I think nothing is so boring as watching people behave reasonably. Humor is based on just the opposite. That’s why Norman has provided so much laughter over the past year.
Did you hear the one about the lady who had a problem, but approached her situation sensibly and soon solved it completely by rational means?
Of course you didn’t!

Poor Gertie, but sometimes a girl’s gotta do what a girl’s gotta do to get her man!
Ahhh…Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, a great classic movie…Dick VanDyke was stellar in that-but the car did upstage him, I think ;) Bumbershoo!

Power boy said, “…Byrd will hit on her” When Gerty figures that out, her wig will hit the Byrd.
