She still hasn’t thought of the ventilation shaft.

Gertie could crawl thru a ventilation shaft without getting stuck?
Would be a good challenge for her if she’s ever on Fear Factor!

Why can’t she just say, “I came with the elderly gentleman I care for. When I was booted out he was left behind. I have to find out what’s happening to him. He’s my responsibility. And if he croaks his family is gonna sue this theatre! What do you think of that?”

Macushlalondra: because he wouldn’t listen. He would just yell at her again for making up a story to get back in. I agree with BuzzDog. Time to get someone else involved.

Gertie didn’t get a chance to get her employer.

With all those folks there from Corky’s place (presumably including Corky), who must have noticed her being thrown out, I’d suspect Walt has plenty of people to look after him. He’s probably enjoying the show. Maybe even got a better seat due to being such a senior citizen!

I think Walt is watching the show. He probably showed them the tickets that Byrd sent.

Actually I wonder if Mr. Walt is currently talking w/ Byrd. Maybe the commotion did get Byrd’s attention, and he is taking care of Walt.

I’m enjoying this story line more than anything here in a while, so I’m not complaining…but, in terms of characterization and credibility it’s hard to see how Gertie could get thrown out without Walt, or why making sure he’s safe would not be the driving point of her actions right now.
HectorPriam said, about 1 month ago
Uncle Walt can’t get thrown out. He’s gonna be the biggest part of the show!

Maybe Walt can play the jug!

Walt is probably on stage with Byrd.

Gertie should take off her wig and revert to her previous appearance, then try to sneak in.

I agree. That tactic would also make her recognizable to Bird, and Walt.

It’s a toss-up as to which story line is slower–this, or the one on BRENDA STARR.
countoftowergrove said, about 1 month ago
This story line is now as slow and as mordant as Dick Tracy.
