Uh oh here it comes, the beginning of the end for Rover’s gas saver. They’ll bury that sucker deeper than the deepest oil that’s ever been drilled. Not only that, we’ll never find out how it works once it “disappears”. Oh well… if Jim actually came up with something that worked he’d quit the strip. To Jim Scancarelli: I’m not trying to rib on you. If you actually have something that goes beyond the story you’d have a line out the door and down the block. We’re all aware of “gas saving” gadgets, which have been discredited by authorities such as; EPA, Click & Clack and Consumer Reports. I’m sure there are others. I’m a bit of a wiseguy and enjoy making comments on my faves and do so only in good fun. I lament the fact that one of our commenters has dropped out of the Dick Tracy group. I meant no harm DBerry, really ! Some of the comments do sound mean spirited, so I wish you the best.

Gweedo:
Lots of inventions have been buried over the last two hundred years, so your concern is legit.
My “invention” (ta-da) for making sure that inventions and compositions and writings are not buried is to first register or copyright them, and then to go to some individual person like George Soros or Jimmy Carter, someone who has spent a lot of their own money to help communities and democracy, and to offer to make the invention open source forever in exchange for a one time up front grant. The donor of the money gets good value for the money spent, you get to survive financially, and people get to use the invention, listen to the music, read the writing.
Down with anti-social and asocial two legged hogs!

Why go for the grant from Mr. Deep Pockets? Why not go open-source immediately, without trying to cash in? It’s OK for you to make a buck, but not anyone else, huh?
