    It’s funny because it’s true.

Most of the Immigration is on the coast near Browsville, Texas.Around 37,000 + so far this year.
The other 8 border sectors account for around 13,000 +.
If so many are being turned back, why are they coming here. It’s not to work. That’s pretty obvious from the jammed parking lot and lines at the 2 local HHS office’s.

Reagan at the wall in Berlin, was just a “photo op” as well, as the Soviet economy was crashing without our help, just as our own actually was under “Reaganomics” theory. (Our overzealous absurdity on “defense” spending indeed hurt most of our citizens, just as the Soviet competition hurt them. Hmm, they invaded Afghanistan, we invaded Afghanistan, that country is still a mess, and it appears our efforts caused far more damage in the long run.)

Presidents are all about the photo ops so unless Pres. Obama actually said it….so I found it.

    LAS VEGAS REVIEW-JOURNAL

Brother, did the president step in it this evening or what?

At a press conference in Texas, the president gathered reporters ostensibly to talk about the crisis on our Mexican border and to explain just why he refuses to go to the site of the crisis and see for himself.

The president explained: “I am not interested in photo ops.”

Photo ops? First, no one suggested he go to the border for a photo op. What people — even people in his own party — wanted him to do was go to visit some of the sites in which we are warehousing hundreds of thousands of children who have crossed the border illegally and get some info the problem first hand.

But second, what in the world was the president thinking when he said he’s not interested in photo ops.

Of course he is interested in photo ops. He spends hours each week in photo ops — with sports figures, with heads of state, with kids, with donors, inside Rosa Parks bus, with soldiers, playing pool with the governor of Colorado, with the Easter Bunny, and just yesterday he chatted with students wearing horses heads.

    C’mon, man.

“I am not interested in photo ops”?

    *My arse.

Bone head doesn’t begin to cover that stupid statement. I think his good guy mask slipped then.

No your wrong, Reagan told Gorbachev at the Reykjavik meeting that “You will never beat us in an arms race because we will always out spend you”. They tried to keep the arms race up and were gone by 90. That sounds like a win to me. The Soviet Union was kicking are aces under Carter through proxy, that was when they went into Afghanistan, 1979, and were out in 89. So tell me how we did not contribute greatly? You can repeat lies all you like, sorry the American Education system is not what it is supposed to be.
    meeting,

Actually, the speech by Bush minor at Jackson square, New Orleans, 2005, will remain the winner for decades to come, no matter what.

    @Ruff

Bush’s speech at Jackson Square was 17 days after Hurricane Katrina struck, after the waters had receded, after the first responders were allowed to do their jobs, But the Left, including Obama, blamed him for not doing what they now insist would have been a “photo op”.

Flashback 2008: Obama Rips Bush for Katrina Flyover

The hypocrisy of the Left never ceases to astound me.

He said he wanted Congress to act and the response was “are you going down there?” His response was that to do that without being able to actually get the congress to do anything about the situation would simply be an empty gesture.

As far as I know, you don’t need new laws to stop and talk to people in the course of your job. Or to take vacations, even if you take far fewer of them than your predecessors.
