That box will probably never be opened, and if it is many people will be surprised to find out what is actually inside. The Democrat party now sees it as a ticking bomb which will destroy the economy. They’re trying to lengthen the fuse as they distance themselves as far away from it as possible.

Ewww… It’s starting to stink. I think it’s gone bad. Can I return it?

And you don’t think the current system isn’t socialist? Uninsured person comes into the emergency room, is treated free of charge …important to save a human life, don’tcha know…and the cost gets passed on to the rest of us in the form of higher hospital fees, higher insurance premiums, etc. Free ride for the uninsured. The only way this could be solved is if we got tough and refused medical treatment to the uninsured, which, I hope, we aren’t cruel enough to do. So, what’s YOUR plan?

Yeah, sorry, but no. I would be thrilled if it were about them fine tuning. It’s not. The fact they are keeping it on hold until later speaks volumes about how little faith the Democrats themselves have in it. People deserve health care. Not party rhetoric. This is the main reason I’m for scraping it and coming up with something else.

Adrian, you are correct, repression IS evil. Now, can you or anyone else explain how forcing me into buying a health care plan that I don’t want or need is not repressive?

The British healthcare system is very popular with the British people. (Recall the 2012 British Olympics opening ceremonies where they highlighted their healthcare system.)
The U.S. healthcare system is the only system on the globe that allowed 44,000 to die annually and 100,000 to declare medical bankruptcy because they could not afford coverage. Which, of course, is the reason for health care reforms.

I’ve already benefited greatly from coverage since January. I couldn’t afford care for the past several years, now I have it, for medical and prescription.
Sorry the rightwingers are so angry about the administration’s being willing to phase in some of the changes in order to address their complaints. That is, I’m sorry they haven’t taken advantage of enhanced coverage for psychological treatment.

… opened Jan 1, working quite well, thank you. Some extensions to pacify the whiners, but they’re a very small group of silly people. Might as well be nice to them.

Remember the Republicans got the blame because they refused to rubber stamp the President.
