A research ship gets trap in the ice late last year during the Antarctic summer, then we have this giant storm that blankets the country.

Plus we find out that for years the a disproportional amount of the temperature gauges, that the Weather Scientist use where placed in parking lots, to give higher temperatures and they say last year was the forth hottest on record.

The one thing that is true, in the ILL state congress, is that Republicans have had a history of funding science in general and Democrats have a history of funding primarily special projects.

What’s interesting is that this cartoon really isn’t political. And yet, right out of the gate, the commentators have made it so. That’s really sad on so many levels.

Correction: It is GOREbal Warming. That is the irrational belief that an ex-politician who failed science in college knows what the planetary atmospherics and weather will be with 100% accuracy and that those changes are due ENTIRELY to anthropogenic CO2 production.

Indeed. It is merely a reference to how badly the new year’s weather has affected my home state, Indiana.

One wonders why our conservative freinds are so eager to put their ignornace on display?

    Adrian said:
Conservatives are not noted for being scientific….about anything…They are more obedient and will spread their propaganda more faithfully than liberals.

Isn’t that what you just did.

It also sprocket scientist, raise the temperatures. Only a fraction of the world is covered in asphalt.

Second, if it is direct sunlight will come in no matter what, and what makes it differentiate is the angle of the planet to the sun. So why ask?
Third you knew you did not have an argument so then you turn to attacking conservative. Normal liberal.

More insults. Also that’s is spelled with an apostrophe

Not nice being attacked huh. Is the reason why you do this because you feel inferior?

The “historical record”, not just “average” says Crater Lake National Park on this date should have at least 56 inches of snow on the ground, they have under 9 inches. Over the last 100 years of records at my house, we should have 12-15 inches of snow on the ground, we have NONE, and it’s been like that for the last four years, indicating a longer term “change” in yes, weather, but also climate. Plants and critters around the world are indicating CLIMATE IS CHANGING, along with ocean acidification and other indicators of big time problems.

Even the sea ice change in Antarctica in summer, and the HUGE ice sheet that recently broke off is the result of longer term warming (even snowfall increases can be the result of WARMING, not cooling!).

But guys like Rush are very familiar with “snow” or “blow”, and work very hard at the latter, in several senses, and have “fans” to keep their hot air circulating.

No, no, no, jack4321, you don’t get to correct another person’s grammar until you fix your own.

asked: “(How’s that cold snap working out for you softy Southerners?)”

I’m Southern in several ways and you’re right, I wouldn’t be able to handle your bloody weather.

this convinced me that I’ll only visit my family in Canada in the Summer.

And Al Gore is the only person who says that there’s global climate change. Not a single scientist says so, just Al Gore. Is that your point?
