I can’t see why anyone cares. Look at the magazines on display at any check-out counter: Klownie Kardashian, Baby Heartache, Jeb’s Cheating on Snigletta, 101 Sex Secrets Men Don’t Even Know They Want, and the ever-present Lose 10 Pounds in Five Minutes (with the words superimposed over a photo of a five-layer chocolate cake)…..almost all magazine covers are chosen to insult intelligence.
If this is the worst problem America faces, we are in much better shape than I thought.

No, it is no longer free. The magazine was removed from news-stands in troves. Other people, not elected, not sworn in, make the decisions what you can read or not based on some fake outrage. Soon you will not be able to buy a beer if you don’t wear a flag pin. It’s over, time to go home and give the Native Americans their land back. Your “Experiment” has failed, and the decline of your country will not be pretty…

    “You can’t go home again”,
I believe that has been said many times in many ways.
Here we are and here we will stay.
For the record, the whole world is going down, America will be one of the last standing.
In spite of the stupid covers.

I don’t understand the hubbub. Why not have them on the cover. They aren’t there to be flattering.

ummm the rest of the Media has already made these characters into stars way before Rolling Stone. Not sure why folks are getting angry with them about it.

Interesting that not one single right-wing commentator, or ‘toonist, has noted the cover story is about what turned this kid into A MONSTER!!!!! They don’t WANT to read about the truth behind our world-wide problem of terrorism and violence. Those who carpet bomb innocent civilians in Afghanistan and Iraq, by the hundreds of thousands, based on lies or stupid policies and “leadership” by homicidal sociopaths like Cheney and Rumsfeld, with a scapegoat moron like “W” to front for them, and their PROFIT MAKING, don’t want to draw comparisons to a misguided kid, who killed less than a handful of people, and didn’t have any opportunity to make a profit on his “investment”.

Mass murder for profit, read M.I.C. in America, is okey dokey, but don’t let folks read about what turned a kid who saw his relatives killed by those policies, to violence.

BTW: Adam Lanza, spoiled white guy with a gun becomes a senseless killer. James Holmes, spoiled white guy with a gun becomes a killer. Jared Loughner, spoiled white guy with a gun becomes a killer.

Tell me again how senseless violence is always the result of “darker folk from the ghettos or barrios”.

Yes, it’s time to consider, and correct, the causes of our problems, not embrace them as normal and insurmountable.

The big problem seems to be that the guy is “cute”, which goes to show what you guys consider to be important in a hero.

it’s called satire and it is a sign of a sophisticated and refined intellect
which you seem to be lacking

and if you go to the library, you can get the names of all the advertisers with out paying for the magazine and then send them letters telling them you are boycotting their product for their support of terrorism
