    Nothing comes free and he needs a lot. The Chinese are taking information in lieu of rent.

    The guy is a traitor. It is that simple. If he had gone through the proper channels then he might have some respect.
    It also seems the guy is a liar so I hope China drains him of every misinformation fantasy and leaves him a empty shell. He deserves a bullet in his head for compromising the security of the USA. The man broke laws and his outh. So may he get what is coming to him.

    ^ Agreed. Americans should never have been informed they were being spied on. They were much happier being ignorant of these things.

    What is the proper procedure for a disclosure of the information, courtesy of it being under the umbrella of NSA freedom of information act can be obscured.

    Should he have scribbled notes on toilet walls, inconspicuously dropped documents onto streets ? posted online where it could have been taken down.

    Also HK is not China, they have a semi-autonomous structure. while the degradation of this has sparked protests it remains a seperate entity. The problem with many western countries is that thanks to strongarming in NATO there is an almost blanket of extradition treaties, technically the US and HK have one, however thanks to the semi-autonomous existence, China lacks such a treaty and thus HK may reject extradition

    @Notsoastute

    could it be a disinformation tactic directed at the Red Chinese?..
    that would be a good, but from what i have seen, the guy is stupid enough to think he has something. But If it is the guy is also to stupid to be believed if he does have nothing.
    But in the off chance the guy is full of misinformation that is being fed to China. Then i say i don’t want to know for few years till it becomes de classified. then give a medal to the guy who set him up and convince him to go to China. But Snow is still a traitor.

    it could have been as simple as going to Ron Paul. Snow respected him enough to donate to him so why did he not go to him with this information. There are also others in any structure that have the proper clearance. Snow did try to go to a USA newspaper but they wanted to fact check it before they ran with it. What a novel Idea. but the guy said no fact check, I am going elsewhere.

    the debate should be what where we ignorant about? NSA collecting meta Data and filtering a ocean of information into a glass of drinkable water? Most idiots on the left do not understand basic thing let alone something as complex as this. So yes sometimes ignorance is best. And if you did not know you are leaving a electronic finger print every time you log in them you are the idiot. I don’t know i have never heard of a case where an electronic snooping had denied a group the right to assemble because of what they pray. that is the IRS.
    The other side is hey now that it is in the open, when you plan the next pressure cooker bomb what are you going to use to communicate with your cell?

    Not in Hong Kong. He needed to leave because Hong Kong has an extradition treaty with the USA!

    June 4th was the 24th anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre. Mr Varvel’s use of the the imagery of Chinese tanks running over their own citizens is very powerful, if slightly belated, for those of us who still remember.
