Yeh, I mean, how dare women want to extend their equality to all arenas? How DARE they? Don’t they know that men lack the self-control to be able to treat them like human beings instead of just meat???!

Congratulations, friend, you have just managed to denigrate both genders.

Of course, comments such as yours also normalize rape. Instead of holding rapists and sexual assailants to blame for their actions, and assigning responsibility for the situation to the people who actually attack other people, instead you go the “well what did they THINK would happen, women should EXPECT this" route – on the one hand blaming the victims, and on the other telling the perpetrators that it’s “normal” and not their fault.

So way to go, there. The “libtard” attribution is pretty much the crap icing on a cake of fail.

Calm down, Skip was just being honest in what his reaction would be,
Apparently he is neither civilized nor mannered and doubts his ability to act human. I respect his honesty but he is not a good person.

Ok I have to admit this is un-called for it belittles soldiers in combat & rape both.

Beautiful. You’re actually blaming the women for getting raped. I knew you had it in you! “Those men can’t help themselves; it’s the womens’ fault for being there and tempting them!”
Here’s a thought. Servicemen (and women) are expected to comport themselves in a certain manner and follow all rules and orders. Not only is raping your fellow soldier/sailor/Marine against rules and orders, but it damages your branch’s mission readiness. Any serviceman who can’t “keep it in his pants” around women is SUBSTANDARD and should be dishonorably discharged, if not prosecuted under the UCMJ.
Perhaps the concept that women are people is too much for you to comprehend, but that doesn’t make it less so.

Sorry, Mr. Varvel, but this comic is completely unrealistic. It’s much more likely she’d get a dishonorable discharge than a medal.

“Are you seriously taking the “don’t get all womanly hysterical” approach?”

I don’t think so. I think they’re taking the “I can’t freaking believe that there are people who actually think that way” approach.

Thank you, Lynne. You said everything I was going to say, and did it well.

    lynn,
as usual you said it better than I could.

Ansonia, is the reason you say skips words (and meaning) are twisted is because he attacked liberals, so that makes everything else he said fine?

skipcarlsen: The problem is not decent and mentally stable Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians, etc. it is however the psychological mentality/philosophy of a far too large portion of American (MCP) men who feel justified in acting out their immoral and illegal thoughts and beliefs on women who happen to be honorably employed and so working in a profession of their choosing.
