There was a TV show about the Presidential limo a while back.
It has tear gas cannons, oxygen supply, night vision, etc.
More like a truck than a Caddilac.

I suppose it’s futile to ask why our president has to broker a peace deal at all – regardless of who is president. For years now, it seems we are responsible for Israel and making sure nobody hurts them no matter how much they cheat (spy) on us or lie both to us and the Palestinians. Now, I do not support the rocket attacks or suicide bombers or any of the Palestinian violence, but neither do I support the settlements. In fact, I’d prefer if the USwould withdraw all financial support from both sides and say, “Figure it out on your own. After you two have come to a peaceful resolution, we’ll talk support again.” We do not own Israel, and I’d like to think Israel doesn’t own us, so let them take care of themselves.

    My sympathy is with Netanyahu.
With Israel’s “best friend” the USA under Obama, the Stupidity of the $175,000 a year limo driver putting gasoline into a deisel vehicle symbolizes to me the Stupidity of the first 4 years of Obama’s shabby treatment of Israel and of Netanyahu, personnally.
Putting on IMO a political show of “niceness” to the Jews, Obama then turned around IMO and revealed his true feelings in his speech to the college-age Jews………
which was a Lecture on Israel’s shortcomings and unasked-for advice:
“Put yourselves in shoes..” (of Palestinians)!
Never mind that Daily Hatred from the Palestinians cause Jewish deaths and destruction from rockets..and murder of Jews by Arab Muslims….and a record since 1947 of rejection of any “fair” UN “2-state” solution!
IMO the best thing would be for Obama to “Put himself in the shoes of the average Jew trying to live peacefully in Israel.”

It’s very easy to compromise on an issue that will not effect your life. Obama is good at it.

Sequester? Obama and family not involved in pay cuts or expense account cuts …. nothing.

Obama Care? Nope not a participant.

Tax increase on the 1%? Uhhh salary JUST under the 450K….hehehehe

Peace in the Middle-East? Well, fall back to the "67 borders Israel. Hey, stop building on your land. The land you won in battle when the rest of the Arab world attacked you for no reason other than you are evil Jews. You must do these things ….hey I’m outta here on the next flight

“What do you think your opinion would be if you WERE a Palestinian?”
DrC: 1.the Arabs in the land were never “Palestinians” that was Arafat’s lie for the agenda to obtain 100% of that land by faking an ancient tie….the Arabs came into the land in the greatest numbers when the Zionists began reclaiming the Ottoman Empire Wasteland—-at the turn of the 20th century.
    2. the land does not “belong” to the Arabs. Zionist Jews lived in the land during the Diaspora, and the Zionist movement brought immigrants that bought and paid for former Arab-owned lands. The sequence of Arab-started wars since 1948 left Israel with territory won fairly by winning the wars and surviving the Arab attempts to do Holocaust on all Jews.
    3. Arabs living in what the world under a Roman ruler renamed “Palestine” from the original Israel and Judea and Samaria, those Arabs who converted to Christianity, have the history and should know that the Arab claims are not legitimate.
God saw fit to make me an American, and a Christian and led me to learn that the Bible teaches that all Christians should be Zionist as God is the #1 Zionist and we should all support the Jewish state of Israel, that will be fully redeemed from all enemies when Messiah Jesus bodily returns to Jerusalem.

My question really is, is it any of our business if Israel stands? I don’t really want it to fall, but we have stood by and watched many countries fall without lifting a finger. Why should this be different?

OH boy…. I’ve been in that fix as well. One of my crew ( a new guy) jumped out to fuel our truck. It’s diesel of course but he just grabbed the first hose he saw….oops. I stopped him in time to have only half a gallon put in a 50 gal tank. Stupid me, I just filled it the rest of the way with diesel and off I went. It worked (lucky lucky me)

My sympathy does lie with those Israelis who voted AGAINST the American educated Netanyahu (and AIPAC) and who support withdrawal of the settlements, and real opportunities for peace once Likud and the other right wingers are gone from power.

Also interesting that while Israel was giving Obama and award, Faux news was advertising Hannities pack of lies that Obama has betrayed Israel.

Also as a mater of simple statistics, 6 million Jews in Israel (about the same number as in the U.S.), 65 million people in Iran, over 300 million citizens in America, over SEVEN BILLION PEOPLE on the planet, should they ALL die to protect an over-aggressive party, in an over-aggressive state born in 1948 actually, thanks to the U.N., that has constantly attacked it’s neighbors in “preemptive strikes”?

    Doc? really?

    you say young children can"
“put themselves in other people’s shoes and to see the world from their perspectives, developing empathy” at about age 7 or 8.

Well how about you? Are you – in your short comments here – doing anything different from the two you have just denigrated?

What exactly is normal and who gets to decide?

Cool, I suppose you have a check system and then you can put each person into a category and rate them on how well they perform certain tasks under certain conditions. Yep. Must make you feel …. superior…. yep.

And I suppose that if someone doesn’t fit into one of your round holes – him being a square peg and all – you can pour some chemical into him until he slides into just the niche you have for him. Yes, humane to make people “normal” as you see it and you have decided it must be ….rather…… God like. Or maybe presumptuous.

I’m not sure which it would be for me if I had that power. To be able to classify people as “normal” or “abnormal”.

So you think that other people are NOT able to “change perspective” ? I wonder which ones that would be. The ones that have a different opinion than you? Yes, that’s what I see. But then we are all like that to some extent.

If you had something to offer, now that may be a game changer.

I believe you CAN do those things quite well.
