I always find it interesting that in the movies or TV, the “bad guy” takes a single hit,and is always dead. The “good guy” can get hit repeatedly and survive… A hit to the center of mass does give a chance for survival. Gabby Giffords was extremely lucky. One inch above the bridge of the nose, they don’t walk away. Yes surviving gunshots is possible but not with a .50 caliber Barrett. BTW, a simple .22 behind the ear was a most popular “hit man’s” round, quiet, and quite effective.
