Gary, are you pro or con here? Are you saying people don’t like it, but mom knows best? Are you comparing the state to “mommy” in a pejorative sense? WHAT IS THE POINT OF THIS COMIC?!?

I think perhaps the point is that “early childhood education” should be in the home! When I was a child, there was no preschool, not even kindergarten. When you went to first grade you were expected to know how to count and how to spell your name and know colors, lots of other things. Your parents were EXPECTED to teach this. I don’t know what some of the parents do now; seems not much of anything.
