It is sad that in a country where we have that great freedom to vote, so few people bother, when in many parts of the world and much of history, people had little or no say in anything!
But, at the same time, I kind of like that only motivated people bother to vote. Do we really want many of the people who don’t vote, to start voting? Most of those people don’t bother to follow world events, know little history, basically have little to no grasp of what’s going on. As bad as politics are, if everyone voted, it would be even more like voting for “American Idol” or some such thing.

I’m not so sure that voting shouldn’t be replaced with what ever teem wins the game gets to control the country for a season.
Every bill would be settled each game.

Don’t vote, don’t complain. What I also found in years of trying to get annual budgets through elections for schools was the simple fact folks would show up on election day to vote AGAINST SCHOOL FUNDING, then show up at the next sports event demanding more money for football or basketball programs. Math, language, and science were forfeit to provide for sports, every time.

It’s renewal of your “Griper’s License” to go out and vote. If you don’t participate in the process, then don’t b!tch about the results

Maine and New York had very heavy turnout for off-year elections. I imagine Virginia and NJ did, too, but I didn’t check their totals.

This is why we have the stooges in DC, because we fail to go to the polls and Vote. It’s a shame when folks in Iraq walked miles and spent days waiting in line to Vote, and we are to lazy to go to the polls as we falsely believe our vote will not count as someone else wil cancel our votes.

Why bother to vote? I don’t like the choices I get from either side.
Right wing, lying, Capitalist pigs who love to start wars to support their Capitalist buddies.
Left wing pervert loving baby killers who are total degenerates.
This is a choice????
