Actually, folks need to look at the Tesla sports car and proposed sedan. While very expensive in their limited production mode- they are looking to high performance, in all aspects, and very good cars.

Tesla are cool cars – and if I could ever afford one… Well, maybe when they go into mass production.

The Smart Car by Mercedes does surprisingly well in crash tests, according to NHTSA.

HOW’S MY ZIT, (Wonder how they’d do in a wreck with a hummer ?) I wonder how far Superman can throw a hummer ? What a STUPID question. You tell us. You repubicans seems to be good at destroying things. Like water, air, the economy, personal rights, fuel economy, etc.
So tell us, how many do you think you can destroy ? The sky’s the limit. Maybe one hummer could take out 10, 20, maybe more if you put the right attachments on it.
But your right, anybody who drives a hummer, probably cant drive, putting everyone else in danger. Nothing like looking out for # 1.

At the end of his term, George W. Bush used one of his Executive Orders demanding Chyrsler, GM, and Ford make all of their Vehicles get a minimum of 35 MPG by 2013. Geroge W. Bush is a Conservative, why are the Conservatives not Stinking on Bush?

Howy might want to check how many of our troops have been killed in Humvees in rollover accidents NOT related to attack. They also can’t go down many streets in many parts of the world(too wide). They, and there civilian counterparts are basically death traps. My sister-in-law drove my Corvair through a red light when I was in ‘Nam. She got hit by a gravel truck and walked away uninjured. Small is NOT necessarily more dangerous!

Senor–I was just being facetious about the post that it did well in the “controlled” NHTSA tests. Get back in your jitney
