Yeah, how can she say this? The CIA would never lie or exaggerate or failure to report accurately what they’re up to. Or torture people. Or spy on Americans beyond what Congress approved.

Neither would a politician eh tj?

I think we should honor Gingrich’s call for a “full investigation” of Pelosi. It’s so obvious that he’s just trying to divert attention away from Bush and Cheney, but any investigation of Pelosi can only lead to more exposure of what B & C did.
And then people will realize what’s more important: Whether or not minority-party Pelosi knew about it, or whether Bush lied to the American people while ordering torture behind our backs.

How many were also convinced there really were WMDs?? The U.N. was in the process of chopping up missiles, things were under control, then Bush did the pooch.

What B & C did is already common knowledge. It’s just that many people like you can’t understand that it was and still is perfectly legal. Congress tried to make it illegal, but their attempt was vetoed and never became law. Now BO has stopped it as a policy decision, not based on any law.

Kelly, is it legal for a President to engage in torture, and then lie to the American people about it?
(I don’t know the answer to this…maybe it is perfectly legal, if unethical.)

The lie detector went up in smoke with her plea : )

kelly, it was and is illegal by US law. But by all means, a full investigation is in order. I don’t see any on the left objecting to it.

Read Legacy of Ashes and learn how the Cia lies and misleads both the White House and Congress, and has been doing so since they were the OSS. Anyone remember Iran-Contra, Bay of Pigs. Iran and the Shah???

ColPappy has reminded us of some of the lies the CIA has been caught at in the past. Some have compared their history to a bipolar schizo. They go from inappropriate ‘wet-work’ mania to scared to move depression. I hope they get their act together and knock-off some of our known enemies, like bin-Laden, but we wouldn’t know it was them, if they did, would we?
